Daniel Mayo

Daniel Mayo wrestled for Penn State University (’83- ’88 ), a 2x All-American, NCAA Finalist, 3X EWL Champion and Team Captain.
In 1988, Penn State was crowned National Dual Meet Champions. Following his career at Penn State, Dan was a member of Team USA, ’92 & ’94( 198lbs) while competing for Team Foxcatcher.

Dan is grateful to have had the opportunity to train with and be teammates with the great Dave Schultz. Dan’s career was highlighted by defeating 1991 World Champion, Chris Campbell in the 1992 US Open semi-finals.

Recently, Dan was inducted into the Eastern Wrestling League Hall of Fame.

Dan’s high school accomplishments are NYS H.S. Champion ( OW ), Junior National Freestyle champion, 3X NYS Freestyle champion & 3X NYS Greco Roman Champion.

Dan resides in NJ and has two kid’s, his daughter Logan completed her senior year ( May ’16) at Penn State University, working for Cael Sanderson and the Penn State Wrestling club. His son Daniel is a freshman( May ’20) at Penn State University.
